Barcelona

Diane T dropped us off at Auckland and away we went.  We managed the marathon that was the nonstop flights Auckland to Barcelona via Bangkok and Zurich. I had prebooked a room at Bangkok so we could freshen up. That was ok but we went up and down the escalator about three times, because every bugger  we asked gave us different directions.  The airport is huge but we got there in the end. Quick turnaround in Zurich, had to get train between terminals. All very efficient and helpful. Took plenty of water and not too much alcohol so feeling ok at the end. Both of us are already missing Chase , Vivien and Nate. I hope they remember us.

Heading off tomorrow

All set bags packed. Had our last coffiee in Whangarei before we head off. At la Familia with Lindsey and Clare. Will meet up in Canada.

10 Days to go

David- Wow we are really doing this. It has been great doing the research on our destinations and getting excited even before we get there. We are having just  under a week to go from London To Edinburgh  nothing booked  we thought about B&B's  or country pubs. Any ideas?
Time is racing by and Glenda is keen to start packing and working out what we need to take. I have talked to serious travelers who say pack your bag then take half out. Then you will only need half of that. That will be a challenge for Glenda.   This will be our first time in the northern hemisphere, trying to get three summers in a row. I wonder how I will cope.
Glenda - We now have our bags out  to pack . Wonder why David thinks he should have the large bag when its going to be a challenge for me to know what to pack ha ha!
