The Cruise

The cruise was for 12 days,  and for me that was the right length. Is was great to unpack and set up your room. Then we were to able to come back to the ship after a day on land, have a swim, a drink at the seaview bar on deck, have a shower then head off to tea. Bliss!! The ship was lovely and new and the staff were very attentive.
Surprise surprise we meet lot of great people on board.  It was  so easy to start a conversation and make a connection. We sat with different people at every meal. On the shuttle to the ship in Barcelona we meet two wonderful girls from Washington state.  Gretchn and Lisa. We connected with them a number of times during the cruise, they were great fun . We had a great time on one of the formal nights with them and a couple of Aussies from Newcastle I think? Grant and Ana. We started with an early tea, then went to a comedy impressionist, then a stage show, then finished off in Croones Bar with another comedian.  We also had a dance in between in the Piazza.  It was tough but someone has to do it. The ship card took a beating. Depending on how we felt we were able to have a buffet or a formal sit down do. We had "lobster"one night, it was a pissy ass little think that would have been illegal back home, but is was very nice. Altogether a very enjoyable time.
Glenda - We always had options  ie we could , go for a swim in any of the four pools , there was one for adults only, have a spa, go to the library. I took the opportunity to have a massage on the second day, it was lovely, The shops on board were a temptation also, I got some jewellery. In for a penny in for a pound.
